Haze Seas: Golden Staff V2 & Electro V2 Guide

Raijin's Core farming on Rainbow Sky Island, Golden Staff V2 forge costs, Electro V2 evolution at Land of the Gods, and which NL upgrade to prioritize.

The NL update dropped two major upgrades that every late-game player wants: Golden Staff V2 and Electro V2. Both require Raijin's Core from the same super boss, and both demand 300 mastery on their base forms. This guide covers exactly what you need for each upgrade, how to farm the rare materials on Rainbow Sky Island, and which path fits your playstyle better.

Two Major Upgrades in Haze Seas

Golden Staff V2 is NL's upgraded signature weapon. It hits harder, looks flashier, and scales well with lightning builds. Electro V2 is the evolved fighting style — better crowd control, wider area attacks, and significantly faster farming potential. Both share one bottleneck: Raijin's Core (often called Rajin Core in-game), a rare drop from the NL super boss on Rainbow Sky Island.

If you run lightning builds, Golden Staff V2 is your weapon of choice. If you clear mobs for hours, Electro V2 will cut your grind time in half. The choice matters because Raijin's Cores don't come easy — see our Gems Farming Guide if you also need gems for the Electro V2 payment.

Golden Staff V2: Requirements and Crafting

This weapon does not drop from enemies. You craft it at the Forge NPC after meeting three requirements:

RequirementAmount
Golden Staff V1 mastery300
Cash (Beli)2,000,000
Raijin's Core1

Talk to the Forge NPC once you have everything. The upgrade is permanent — no take-backs. Golden Staff V2 is currently one of the best weapons for lightning damage in the game. If you already use V1, the jump in performance is immediate and noticeable.

For baseline weapon routing, cross-reference the Weapons Procurement Guide. Preview skills (Storm Surge, Thunder Shower, Electron Orbs) are documented in the Endgame Roadmap Guide.

Electro V2: Requirements and Evolution

Travel to Land of the Gods in the Third Sea. Find the Electro evolution NPC there — it's not hard to spot. The evolution requires:

RequirementAmount
Raijin's Core2
Electro V1 mastery300
Gems500

Electro V2 changes how you farm. Its C skill pulls multiple enemies into one spot, letting you wipe entire groups in seconds. The area attacks are wide, the clear speed is fast, and the crowd control is solid. If you spend most of your time grinding mobs for mastery or materials, this is the upgrade that pays for itself.

Raijin's Core also ties into the Electricity fruit awakening line — plan your farm runs if you chase both style and fruit upgrades.

Farming Raijin's Cores: Rainbow Sky Island Boss

Raijin's Cores are the gatekeeper for both upgrades. The NL super boss (Ryujin World Boss event on Rainbow Sky Island) uses this summoning loop:

  1. Travel to Rainbow Sky Island (Sea 3 — see Third Sea Update Guide for entry requirements).
  2. Kill enemies on the island until you collect 4 Divine Sparks.
  3. Find the four large pillars around the area and interact with each one.
  4. When all four pillars are lit, the NL super boss spawns.
  5. Defeat the boss for a chance at a Raijin's Core.

The boss has a one-hour cooldown between summons. You cannot bypass this timer. Plan your runs accordingly — one failed drop means waiting another hour.

You will likely need multiple kills. Golden Staff V2 needs one core, Electro V2 needs two. If you want both, that is three cores minimum. Budget your time.

Database note: The Ryujin World Boss entry also tracks Rainbow Sky Island spawn data. Verify kill requirements and loot tables in-game after each patch.

Tips and Recommendations

Which upgrade first?

PriorityPickWhy
PvP / boss DPSGolden Staff V2Highest single-target lightning spike
Leveling / materialsElectro V2C skill groups mobs — faster clears
Pure efficiencyElectro V2 firstSpeeds up everything else you farm afterward

Since Raijin's Cores are scarce, pick your priority. If you PvP or fight super bosses, grab the staff first. If you grind levels or materials, Electro V2 will speed up everything else you do.

Mastery prep

Both upgrades require 300 mastery on their base forms. Start grinding mastery on Golden Staff V1 and Electro V1 early — do not wait until you have the cores. The mastery grind takes longer than the boss farm.

Electro V2's C skill is the standout feature. It groups enemies together, which means faster clears and less time chasing stragglers. For pure efficiency, this is the better first upgrade.

Bottom line: Farm Raijin's Core on Rainbow Sky Island with a one-hour boss cooldown plan, hit 300 mastery on both base forms early, then choose Golden Staff V2 for burst damage or Electro V2 for farming speed — or budget three cores for both.
